This was a serious day of firsts. Jessica and Rachel invited us to baby Frances' first birthday party. This was Sloane's first, first birthday party. It was a lovely day to spend outside. Frances is a beautiful, expressive baby girl. It is always nice to go somewhere where children are expected and wanted. The title is courtesy of one of Jessica's cousins. The question was posed to her.
After, we took Sloane out for sushi. She is really good with chopsticks. We took her to Kenny's and my usual haunt. Everyone there was excited to hold her and play with her. We actually got to eat a little.
For the last part of the day we took her to the mall. Kenny bought her a baseball and a bat to begin practicing for the major league.
We took her onto the merry-go-round. She rode the pirate cat in honor of Kenny's friend Chad. It seemed more to daze her than to please her.
Following all of these events, the most glorious thing of all happened.
She slept until 9 AM.

it was awesome that your wee family could be there. sloane is delightful, and everyone was glad to meet her -- especially frances!
